How rankings work

The AI Coach Score

Each listing gets a score from 0 to 100, based on a Bayesian average of its star ratings. Every listing starts close to the average for its type (courses or coaches) and moves towards its own average as reviews come in. This means a course with a single 5★ review can't jump above one with hundreds of 4.8★ reviews.

• The prior weight is 5 reviews.
• Reviews older than 18 months count half as much, so the score reflects how a course or coach is doing now.
• A listing needs at least 3 published reviews before it gets a rank number. Until then it's marked "New" and shown after ranked listings, in an order chosen by our editors.

Who can review

• Anyone with a free account and a verified email address.
• One review per person per listing. You can edit or delete it at any time.
• Owners and the person who submitted a listing can't review it.
• Reviews from brand-new accounts, or reviews that contain links, are held for a moderator before they're published.

Moderation

Anyone signed in can report a review. Our moderators remove reviews that break the review guidelines, such as fake, paid-for or abusive reviews, or reviews from competitors. We never remove a review just because it's negative. Owners can reply publicly but can't delete reviews.

Featured placements

Owners can pay to appear in a Featured strip above the rankings. Featured listings are always labelled, are limited in number, and keep their real rank and score.

Demo profiles

While the coach directory grows, a small number of clearly labelled demo coach profiles show how coach listings work. They and their demo reviews are fictional, they never appear in search-engine rating data, and they'll be removed as real coaches join.

Course information

We wrote the course descriptions from public information and keep them general. Prices and details change, so always check the provider's site. Spotted something out of date? Owners can claim a listing to correct it, or anyone can email us.
